Should we be afraid of ghosts?
A question that maybe hard to answer, there are tons of unfaithful ghost finders who believe we should, I have a theory you treat a spirit with respect and compassion it will in turn do the same… or you should have an investigation that is a pleasant one, the one where you can feel safe. Ghosts will always do things to frighten us, but mostly its unintentional, what scares us is the spirits way of communicating with us. Some times things happen that will put your safety under the pump but this is if you’re doing investigations in a diminutive and dominate fashion. In all the investigation we have conducted we have been very respectful towards ghosts and location, we have been very lucky so far as we have yet to clash with any violent spirits…. There are spirits of a very violent nature and will cause some serious harm towards you… but this is a rare case indeed. There have been stories of attacks and suffering embedded onto the living, spirits raping, bashing, and suffocating its targeted victim…. But this is one of those ultra rare cases, we have yet to investigate.
The idea that all spirits are violent or dangerous is pure hokum, no one has ever been killed by a spirit that we know of and over the 130 years of world investigations no investigator has or ever will see a spirit killing. Ghosts are powerful to some extent but not that strong it could physically murder someone… well we hope not.
Some new recent information has come into our hands about ghosts known as Death Bogles; these are the top of the food chain for ghosts. These spirits have the ability to do physical harm and scary to say but death as well (hence the name). These spirits appear in the same vein as shadow people but they bring forth a whole new frightening presence. Where shadow people come from direct shadows and have the appearance of full figured apparitions, well Death Bogles can take the form of figures but they have a wispy look to them and can appear in lighten areas and from under things… between cracks in the door are the main areas they appear from. When one sees them its curtains im sorry to say, as they will strike fear into ones body… causing it to go ridged, the description of how ones face looks is purely terrified as if they had witnessed the scariest thing they were ever going to witness… the only story I have heard about that resembles anything like a Death Bogle here in Tasmania, has to do with the road that leads out of Richmond to Sorrell, its one of the top five scariest tales I have read to come out of Tasmania. But we don’t know how they kill… as no physical marks are found, maybe the sight of them is so terrifying that one dies due to fear.
There are also spirits like Entities, Poltergeists, Elementals, Fairies, Shadow People and Black Hounds that can cause people fear and confusion; some have curses that come along with them, some linger and do nothing but torment ones mind… Yes ghosts can be scary but not all are frightening, majority of spirits are harmless, but one must also have concern when children are involved.
